FAQ

Can we save money ?

You can actually save a considerable amount of money. Many customers we have upgraded from ISDN had incredibly high phone bills. Once they switched they saw an immediate cash saving, not to mention vast reliability and uptime improvements. This can apply all the way from small companies with a few users up to corporates with thousands.

How are leased lines priced?

The cost for leased line Internet access is variable depending on the distance between the customer's site [you] and the nearest Internet Point of Presence. That and the bandwith you choose for your leased line.

We are a major UK investor in leased line technology. Our partner network currently accommodates 80 Points Of Presence (POPs) throughout the UK, enabling us to offer our customers cut throat pricing that the majority of companies can't come close to. We regularly undercut B.T by up to tens of thousands per year.

What do all these terms like bit, bandwith, E1 , Frame Relay etc all mean

Its Tier One peering status means Leased Lines Ltd can route traffic around congested public peering points internationally, giving customers reliable connections and optimum throughput

What does bandwith contention actually mean ?

A 2 MB ADSL solution suffers a 1:10 bandwidth contention, this means that if there are 10 people in your area using the same service you will only get your original 2MB divided by 10.

With a leased line you get a 100% guaranteed 1:1 bandwidth ratio. This means you do not share a line with anybody else. Your leased line literally runs from your building to our network.

( The old adage is that if you pulled at your end hard enough we could see the cable move at our end!)

With a leased line, you always have access to 100% of your line capacity - this means that if you purchase a 1MB Leased Line, then 100% of the time, 24/7/365 you get a full 1Mb of bandwidth.

What speed/bandwith do leased lines operate at ?
