Leased Lines :
A Leased Line is a permanently connected telecom's link used for
voice, data and Internet traffic dedicated to a particular customer
delivered along predetermined routers.
This private link or 'circuit' as it is often called, is installed
between only two points, your premises and our network to provide
a dedicated and reliable "always on" Internet access.
There are many different types of Leased Lines, but in the UK the
generic term, 'Leased Line' is used to denote a wide range of line
types and speeds, for instance T1/T3 /E1/ E2/ DSO/ DS1 etc.
Each of the terms above, are ways of describing the speed of the connection.
For instance a T1 Leased Line gives you 1.544mb/s, a DS0 is the common
64Kb/s, a E1 which is a very popular middle ground choice, offers
2.054mb per second.
To make life easy, most people talk of the entire private circuit
technology as Leased Lines and then simply determine what speed they
need to support their business, this can be anything from 64k to 2mb
to 4Mb etc.

your network infrastructure via a router out to the Internet
